Branan Environment conducted environmental audit of a major petrochemical enterprise (Tiumen Oblast) and developed a preliminary version of the EIA materials for the polypropylene manufacturer. 

The Audit included: 

• Assessing potential risks and liabilities associated with the enterprise operation;
• Assessing compliance of the enterprise with the Russian legislation in the area of environmental protection, OHS;
• Describing the existing issues in the area of environmental, occupational health and industrial safety;
• Developing the action plan for environmental, occupational health and industrial safety. 

The development of the ESIA materials included the following studies: 

• Natural, climatic, social and economic conditions of the Project area;
• The status of the main environmental components;
• The main sources of the projected man-induced impacts;
• The nature and scope of the proposed impacts on the environmental components;
• Environmental limitations to the proposed project;
• Proposed environmental activities to minimize the adverse environmental impacts. 

Branan Environment participated in the public awareness campaign and public hearings concerning these materials.
